When he was but a wee whisp of a whorl, Burlap Beehive was sucked sideways through a slipstream, landing feet-first on the foetid floor of a far-off forest. Now he traverses the intraverses and extraverses, multiverses and universes, babbletrap in tow, (a floral fiend he stole from the swamp of sentience.) Burlap Beehive is a multi-dimensional medic, healing the galaxy.

Burlap Beehive and the Babbletrap is an interactive roving performance, showcasing Sanctum Studio’s aptitude for mischief and colour.

The Babbletrap was created in 2024 with Melanie Sano and Princess Pictures for an ABC children’s show, before being gifted back to Sanctum Studio in 2025 and adapted to a live festival context.
